はじめに Introduction

スウェーデンへ行ってから，北欧の雰囲気がとても好きになり今度はコペンハーゲンへ．

After visiting Sweden in March this year, I felt that the Scandinavian atmosphere suited me. So I decided to travel alone as a reward at the end of my summer holiday.

今回の記事は私のデンマークおすすめスポットをご紹介します．

In this article, I’ll be sharing my top picks for places to visit in Denmark.

グルメ

注文したのは，オープンサンドウィッチ．北欧は海に囲まれているので漁業が盛ん．そしてライ麦やフランスパンの上にエビやサーモンを載せたオープンサンドウィッチが有名です．

I chiced the open sandwich．As the Nordic countries are surrounded by the sea, fishing is a major industry there. They are also famous for their open sandwiches, which feature prawns or salmon served on rye bread or baguettes.

スウェーデンに行った時も，オープンサンドウィッチは必ずどこのカフェのメニューに含まれていました．サーモンの塩気が少し硬めのフランスパンによく合って美味しかったです．

I visited Sweden in March this year, open sandwiches were always on the menu in every café. The saltiness of the salmon matched well with the slightly hard French bread.

Bakery

とある日の朝食をパン屋さんで．アボカドサンドウィッチを食べました．

I took a break at a bakery near the mermaid statue. I had an avocado sandwich.

ライ麦パンが美味しかったです．それからヨーグルトとグラノーラも．

The rye bread was delicious . Then there was yoghurt and granola .

カフェについたのが10時くらいだったのですが，ぽつぽつとお客さんがいるくらいでした．

It was about 10 o’clock when I arrived at the café, and there were only a few customers.

テラス席に，おそらく50代くらいのおばさまが煙草を吸いながら何かメモを取っていてその姿を眺めていました．使い慣れたペンとノートに何かを書き込む姿がとても素敵で，うっとりしました．素敵な人だったな．

On the terrace, a lady, probably in her fifties, was smoking a cigarette and taking notes, and I watched her. I was fascinated by the way she was writing something in a familiar pen and notebook. She was a lovely person.

旅先では，やっぱり現地の郷土料理が食べたい．

パブのメニューで珍しいものないかな，と探してみると豚肉を揚げた料理が．

I would like to eat the local cuisine in travel.

I looked for something unusual on the pub menu and found fried pork.

ビールが進む．やっぱり脂肪でできたものは美味しいですよね．(笑)

Beer goes on … I knew that something made of fat would taste good …

「テクト・フレスク・メ・パシレソウス（Stegt fleask med persillesovs）」という料理名らしく，写真の右上に写っているのは，パセリソース．これを付けることによって，油のしつこさが抑えられて美味しかったです．

It named Stegt fleask med persillesovs. The parsley sauce is shown in the top right-hand corner of the picture.This helped to reduce the oiliness of the food.

ビールも，デンマーク産のカールスバーグをチョイス．

The beer of choice was Carlsberg from Denmark.

海外あるあるだと思うのですが，メニューに写真がついていないので，どんな料理か車でのお楽しみ．ほんの少しパンを食べる予定だったのですが，メニューにあった”朝食プレート”を注文するとヨーグルトやライ麦パンまでついてきてびっくり‼

I guess it’s a common thing overseas, but there are no pictures on the menu, so you have to wait until you get in the car to see what kind of food you’re going to have. I had planned to eat just a little bread, but when I ordered the ‘breakfast plate’ on the menu, I was surprised to find that it included yoghurt and rye bread.

余計な味付けがなく，素材のあじを楽しみました．店内はジブリに出てきそうなかわいらしい雰囲気でした．

I enjoyed the flavour of the ingredients without any unnecessary seasoning. The interior of the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, almost like something out of Ghibli which is the most famous of Japan anime siriese.

お気に入りワインバー wine bar

ワインが飲みたいな，とGoogleマップでワインバーと検索してみると，多くのお店がヒット．その中でも私はこじんまりとしていてカウンターがあるお店が好き．写真で雰囲気の良さそうな場所の１つを選び行ってみました．

I wanted to have a glass of wine at night, so I searched for wine bars on Google Maps and found many. Among them, I like small places with a counter. I chose one of the places that looked nice in the picture and went there.

まさに私の好きなお店そのままで，ビールとワインをいただきました．

Exactly the kind of place I like, one beer and two glasses of wine.

それから驚いたのが生ハム製造機！生ハムを注文すると，その場でスライスしてくれるんです．沢山いただきました．

Then there was the amazing cured ham machine!When I order a ham, they slice it on the spot. We had a lot of it.

おすすめ観光スポット

no.1 ニューハウン散策 Nyhavn

ニューハウンという場所は海につながる湾をカラフルな建物が向かい合ってはさんでいて，うっとりします．

I was particularly enchanted by Newhaven, with its colourful buildings facing each other across the bay leading to the sea.

昼間は観光客でにぎわっていましたが，次の日の朝行ってみると静かでゆっくり歩けました．ニューハウン観光は朝がおすすめ!!

During the day it was busy with tourists, but the next morning it was quieter and I was able to walk more slowly.

no.2 チボリ公園　Tivoli

デンマーク中心地に「チボリ公園☞https://maps.app.goo.gl/1csdpAc7SKnTVGJ1A(map)」というこぢんまりとしていますが，とってもキュートな遊園地があります．デンマークの下調べはほとんどせずにノープランで行ったのですが，たまたまホテルへ向かう途中で見つけたので，一度チェックインを済ませてから遊園地で遊ぶことに．

There is a small but very cute amusement park called “Tivoli Park” in the centre-centre of Denmark. I went there with no plan, but happened to find it on the way to the hotel, so I decided to play in the amusement park after checking in once.

遊園地に入るとすぐに，くすっと笑ってしまう銅像が待ち構えていました．せっかくだからアトラクションに乗りたいなと園内をぐるぐる散策．空中ブランコに乗ることに．コペンハーゲンの夜景を一望できて最高でした．

As soon as I entered the amusement park, I were greeted by a statue that made me smile. I strolled around the park, wanting to ride an attraction. I decided to ride the trapeze. The night view of Copenhagen was fantastic.

空中ブランコと観覧車があれば乗りたくなります．🎡

Among other things, the flying trapeze and the Ferris wheel would make me want to ride it.

園内では軽食を楽しみました．私はビールとフライドポテトとソーセージをチョイス．外で食べるこういうホットスナックって格別ですよね．

I enjoyed a light meal in the park. I went for a beer, chips and a sausage. There’s just something special about eating hot snacks like that outdoors, isn’t there?

そろそろ帰ろうと出口に向かって歩いていくと，バンドがコンサートをしていたのでついつい立ち止まって鑑賞してしまいました．気が付くと11時近くに．

As I was walking towards the exit to go home, I saw a band playing a concert, so I stopped to watch them. Before I knew it, it was nearly 11 o’clock.

メリーゴーランドが光って綺麗でした．

The merry-go-round was beautifully lit.

no.3 ハムレット舞台のお城　クロンボー城　Castle in Hamlet stage Kronborg Castle

インターネットで観光名所を調べてみるとデンマークには素敵なお城がたくさん建てられていています．どこに行こうかな，と迷って調べてみると，「ハムレット」の舞台になったお城があることを発見しました．

When I looked up tourist attractions on the Internet, I found that Denmark has many beautiful castles built in the country. When I was wondering where to go, I discovered that there is a castle that was the setting for the play “Hamlet”.

どうせ行くなら何かストーリーがある方が面白いなと思い，ここへ行ってみました．

I went here because I thought it would be more interesting to have a story to tell.

コペンハーゲン中心地から電車に揺られること約１時間．お城近くについたのが15:30くらいでした．

It took about one hour by train from the centre of Copenhagen. It was about 15:30 when I arrived near the castle.

朝，アボカドサンドウィッチしか口にしていなかったので少し小腹がすいてしまい，お城のふもとにある「Axelhus」というカフェ寄りました．

I was a little hungry because I had only had an avocado sandwich in the morning, so I stopped at a café , “Axelhus”. Map☞https://maps.app.goo.gl/Cw4pgqpdf8uf2be86

I order an open sandwich again.

やっぱりパンが美味しい🍴お昼から飲むワインも美味しい✨近くで，素敵なおじさまが弾き語りしていたのもよかったな．

The bread is still good , and so is the wine you drink at lunchtime.It was nice to see a nice man playing nearby.

お腹が満たされたところで，冒険開始！

With stomachs full, the adventure begins．

閉館間際だったので，人がほとんどいませんでした．

お城の中はおどろおどろしい雰囲気で，少し怖かったです．

It was just before closing time, so there were hardly any people. The atmosphere inside the castle was terrifying and a little scary.

大広間は明るかったので大丈夫だったのですが，地下は１人ではとてもは入れず，近くにいた観光客の方に話しかけて，一緒に入ってもらいました．

The hall was well-lit and I was fine, but I couldn’t go downstairs alone. So I talked nearby torist, Indian and then I enter with him.

明かりが何もなく，スマホのライトを頼りに覗きました．

クロンボー城で一番気に入った場所は屋上．長くて狭い螺旋階段をせっせと上ると，城下町とバルト海を一望できます．澄んだ空気と空が心地よかったです．

There was no light, so I peeped in with the light of my phone.

The long, narrow spiral staircase leads up to a panoramic view of the castle town and Baltic sea. The clear air and sky were pleasant.

ちなみに，ハムレットにでてくる「エルシノア城」のモデルとして知られるクロンボー城ですが2000年に世界遺産にも登録されています．

Kronborg Castle, known as the model for Elsinore Castle in Hamlet, was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2000.

デンマーク語で「ボー」は城という意味．

In Danish, ‘borg’ means castle.

この城に関する最も古い記録は1420年代までさかのぼる，今の姿に至るまでは長い歴史がある．

The earliest records of the castle date back to the 1420s, and it has a long history before reaching its present form.

1574～1585年にかけて当時の国王フレゼリク２世の命令により大規模な改造が実施されこのころからルネサンス様式になりクロンボーと呼ばれるようになった．

その後焼失したり，スウェーデンにより落城されたりしている．

Between 1574 and 1585, the castle was extensively remodelled on the orders of King Frederick II at the time, and from this time onwards it became Renaissance in style and was known as Kronborg.

家に帰ってからちゃんとハムレット，拝読しました．ついでにロミオとジュリエットも．

I went home and read Hamlet. I also read Romeo and Juliet.

no.4 サウナ sauna

サウナには入ったことがなかったのですが，北欧といったらサウナ．初サウナをコペンハーゲンで体験してみました．

I’ve never been in a sauna, but I’ve heard of saunas in Scandinavia.I experienced my first sauna in Copenhagen .

調べてみると，サウナの発祥地は「フィンランド」．考古学の研究では約6000年前，木で作ったテント式サウナ「ダッグアウトサウナ」がその起源らしいです．

Research shows that saunas originated in Finland. According to archaeological research, they originated about 6,000 years ago in the ‘dugout sauna’, a tented sauna made of wood.

疲れを癒す目的のほかにも，食料の貯蓄やリネンを乾かしたり，出産までなされていたようです．

In addition to relieving fatigue, saunas were used to store food, dry linen and even give birth.

サウナが世界的に広がるきっかけとなったのが1936年のベルリンオリンピック．

フィンランド選手団が選手村にサウナを持ち込んだことによって他国の参加選手が各々の自国に持ち帰ったのだとか．

Sauna use spread worldwide during the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

The Finnish delegation brought saunas to the athletes’ village, and athletes from other countries brought them back to their own countries.

それはさておき，私が行ったサウナは「copenhot」という場所．

個室のサウナで，サウナ初心者の私でも周りのお客さんを気にすることなく楽しめました．オーナーの方がとても親切で良かったです💞

Aside from that, the sauna I went to was called ‘copenhot’.

It was a private sauna, and even as a sauna novice, I could enjoy it without worrying about the other guests around me. The owner was very kind and nice.

no.5 人魚 mermaid

コペンハーゲンの観光名所の１つとして有名なのが人魚姫の像．

The statue of the Little Mermaid is one of Copenhagen’s most famous tourist attractions.

Wikipedia(参考URL☞人魚姫の像 – Wikipedia)によると「人魚姫」の物語に感動したカール・ヤコブセンが制作したものだそう．人魚が人間に姿を変えていく様子を描いた像で毎年100万人もの観光客がこの場を訪れています．

According to Wikipedia, the statue was created by Carl Jacobsen, who was moved by the story of The Little Mermaid. The statue depicts a mermaid transforming into a human and is visited by one million tourists every year.

おまけ

雑貨

ニューハウン付近を散歩していると，ユニークなデザインがプリントされているトートバックを発見．１つ購入してしまいました．

While walking around, I found a tote bag with a unique design printed on it. I bought one.

コペンハーゲンのファッションは派手ではないのですが、１つひとつのものにこだわりを感じるものが多くオシャレです。落ち着いていて、素敵だなと思います。もっとたくさんお買い物をしていきたかったのですが、荷物に制限があるので本当に買いたかったもだけを買って帰りました。

Copenhagen’s fashion isn’t flashy, but many of the pieces show a real attention to detail and are very stylish. I find it understated and lovely. I would have liked to do more shopping, but as I had luggage restrictions, I only bought the things I really wanted to take home.

朝のお散歩 morning stroll

デンマークでは自転車で出勤する方が多かったです．朝８時くらいは自転車の渋滞があちらこちらに．男性も女性もカーディガンやパーカーを監督巻するファッションが華やか．

On the last day, I woke up a little early and went out for a walk, hoping to see Nyhavn once more. In Denmark, many people go to work by bicycle. Around 8am, there were traffic jams of cyclists everywhere. Both men and women were dressed in gorgeous fashion, with cardigans and parkas as supervisors.

おそらくですが，日中は暖かいのですが夜になると一気に冷え込むので自然とそのようなファッションが流行したのだろうな，と思います．

Perhaps it is because it is warm during the day, but at night it suddenly gets cold, so naturally such fashions became popular.
