Day1 31 Dec 2024
空港からバスで移動 Travelling by bus from the airport
空港を出た瞬間、吹雪がひどく、風が吹くと肌が痛くなるほどの寒さでした。
The moment I left the airport, it was so cold that the blizzard was so bad that my skin hurt when the wind blew.
空港を出てからすぐバス停があり、その場で予約。
There was a bus stop right outside the airport and I booked a room on the spot.
時間があったので、空港内の免税店で、チョコレートと白ワインを購入。
その後、バスでホテルまで移動しました。
As I had time, I bought some chocolates and white wine at the duty-free shop in the airport. Then I travelled by bus to our hotel.
驚いたのが、バス停の目の前が予約していたホテルだったこと。
本当にびっくり😮🧡
To my surprise, the hotel I had booked was right in front of the bus stop.
I was really surprised!
滞在したホテル the hotel which I stayed☟「Scandic Ørnen」
今回こちらに６泊しました。ホテルの朝食がとても充実していて、中はとても清潔でアクセスも良くて満足です‼
I stayed here for 6 nights this time. I was very satisfied with the hotel’s breakfast and the ministry was very clean and accessible inside.
街を散策 Explore the city
到着したのが夕方だったのであたりはもう真っ暗。
It was dark when I arrived in the evening, so the area was already dark.
イルミネーションがとてもきれいでした。
The illumination was very beautiful.
大晦日なので、お店はほとんどが閉まっているか人がいっぱいで仕方なくバーでワインとお菓子をいただきました。
As it was New Year’s Eve, most shops were either closed or full of people and I had no choice but to go to the bar for wine and snacks.
結局、レストランは人でいっぱいだったのでノルウェーのセブンイレブンでホットドックを買って空港で購入したワインと一緒にホテルで食べました。
In the end, the restaurant was full of people, so I bought a hot dog from a Norwegian 7-Eleven and ate it at the hotel with a bottle of wine I had bought at the airport.
１日目は吹雪だったこともあり、ホテルでゆっくりと映画を見ながら休みました。
Day 1 was a blizzard, so I rested at the hotel watching a relaxing film.
大晦日にもかかわらず、移動で疲れていたため22時ぐらいに就寝。
でも、24時くらいに外が騒がしく起きてしまいました。部屋は８階だったのですが、外を見てみるとニューイヤーの花火が🎇
Despite New Year’s Eve, I went to bed at about 22:00 as I was tired from travelling.
But I woke up at about 24:00 to a lot of noise outside. My room was on the eighth floor, but I looked outside and saw the New Year fireworks.
1th Jan 2025
次の日、起きて朝食会場に行くとすべての席が埋まるほどの宿泊者が！
The next day, when I woke up and went to the breakfast room, there were enough guests to fill all the seats!
ほとんどが家族ずれだったのですが、１人私の近くに私のように女性１人で滞在している方がいらっしゃり、声をかけてみるとノルウェー出身の方で、年末年始は毎回はホテルで滞在するようです。話が盛り上がり、最後はハグまで😊
Most of them were families, but there was one woman staying alone near me, like me, and when I approached her, I found out that she was from Norway and stays at a hotel every New Year’s Eve. I had a great conversation and even hugged at the end.
１人旅はこれが良い。気を使うことなく素の自分でいられる。
This is a good way to travel alone. I can be myself without being self-conscious.
食べ終えてから街を散歩。穏やかで、とてもいい場所でした。
After I finished eating, I went for a walk around the town. It was a very nice and peaceful place.
奥に見える山は「フロイエン山」
The mountain in the background is Mount Fløyen.
この日もほとんどの店が閉まっていたので、マクドナルドとカフェのチェロスを買ってホテルで映画を見ながらいただきました。
Most shops were also closed on this day, so I bought McDonald’s and Café Cheros and had them while watching a film at the hotel.
2th Jan 2025
ブリッゲン Bryggen
２日目もひたすら散歩をしました。
The second day was also spent just walking around.
ベルゲンで最も有名な観光地といえばブリッゲン。ガイドブックには必ず載っていました！カラフルな建物がとてもかわいらしく、お土産ショップが立ち並んでいます。
Bryggen is the most famous tourist spot in Bergen. It was always in the guidebooks! The colourful buildings are very pretty and lined with souvenir shops.

疲れてカフェによってクロワッサンをいただきました。店員さんの動きがうきうきしていてとってもかわいかったです。
I was tired and went by the café and had a croissant. The waitress was very cute and her movements were exciting.
相棒と合流 Meet up with my friend
その日の夜に中華料理屋さんで一緒に住んでいるルームメイトと合流しました。
I met up with my roommat at the Chinese restaurant that evening.
春巻きを食べたのですが、写真撮るの忘れてしまいました。夜は私の部屋でずっと恋バナ。次の日に備えました。
We had spring rolls, but I forgot to take a photo. We talked about love all evening in my room. We prepared for the next day.

12：00～フェリーでフィヨルドツアー Fjord tours by ferry
ノルウェー旅行の１つの目的でもあるフィヨルドツアーへ。
Go on a fjord tour, one of the objectives of the Norway trip.

I booked from the Viator travel tour website here and saw the fjord by ferry!
まず感じたのは、グーグルマップの現在地を見て、自分が日本から遥か遠く離れたノルウェーの入り組んだ海の上にいることがとっても不思議でした。そして、行きたい場所に行こうとすれば行けてしまう今の環境に感謝。やっぱり私は恵まれていて、運がいいな、と。
The first thing I felt was that it was very strange to look at my current location on Google Maps and see that I was on the intricate Norwegian sea, far away from Japan. I was also grateful for my current environment, where I can go wherever I want to go. I am blessed and lucky, after all.
そして次に、このような環境でも人が暮らしている事実に驚きました。残念ながら今回は４時間のツアーだったので、私が想像していたようなフィヨルドは見れなかったです。ただ、そこに海岸沿いにたくさんの住まいがあることが人間の生命力を感じました。
And secondly, I was amazed by the fact that people live in such an environment. Unfortunately, this was a 4-hours- tour, so I didn’t get to see the fjord as I had imagined it. However, I felt the life force of human beings there with the many dwellings along the coast.
その日の夕食はフェリー乗り場のすぐ近くの建物でいただきました。レストランが２階にあるため、海を見渡しながらおいしいお魚をいただきました。
Dinner that evening was served in a building close to the ferry port. The restaurant was on the second floor, so we had delicious fish while overlooking the sea.
イギリスにいると食べれるお魚は限られていて、とても日本が恋しくなります。
魚を食べたいという欲求を満たしてくれました🐟
When I am in the UK, the fish I can eat is limited and I miss Japan very much.
It satisfied my craving for fish!
私は白身魚を注文。白ワインとともにおいしくいただきました。
I ordered white fish. It was delicious with white wine.

4th Jan
マッサージ oil massage
北欧といったらサウナ‼ノルウェーでサウナ行こうと思っていたのですが、湖に飛び込むサウナしか見つからず…さすがに寒いので断念。
I was planning to go to a sauna in Norway, but I could only find a sauna where we have to jump into a lake… It was cold, so I gave up.
代わりにオイルマッサージに行ってきました。飛行機で体がバキバキだったので久々にゆっくり出来てよかったです。
Instead, I went for an oil massage. I was glad to be able to relax after a long time because my body had been so shaken up by the plane.
魚市場 Fishmarket
レストランのすぐ近くに市場があったので寄りました。明日ここで夕食にすることを決めてホテルに戻りました。
We stopped at the fishmarket very close to the restaurant. We decided to have dinner here tomorrow and returned to the hotel.

フロイエン山 Fløyfjellet
フィヨルドの次に楽しみにしていた場所。フロイエン山からの夜景。

ロープウェイで山の上まで登り、夜景を眺めました。
A cable car took us up to the top of the mountain for a night view.
アナと雪の女王でおなじみのトロールは、ノルウェーから北欧全体に伝わった逸話と言われているようです。北欧のお土産ショップにはトロールが並んでいます。
The trolls, familiar from “Frozen”, are said to be an anecdote that was introduced from Norway to the whole of Scandinavia. Trolls can be found in Nordic souvenir shops.
山頂にはトロール像がおかれていました。A troll statue was placed on the summit.
魚市場で夕食 Dinner at fishmarket
大きなエビを使ったサラダと魚介のスープを注文。サイドでついてきたパンもおいしかったです。
I ordered a salad with large prawns and a seafood soup. The bread that came as a side was also delicious.
5th Jan 2025
カフェ
チョコレートショップ chocolates
グーグルマップでたまたま、チョコレート専門ショップを見つけたので行ってみました。お店に入ると、チョコレートのいい香りが✨🩷ガトーショコラとコーヒーをいただきました。
I happened to find a shop specialising in chocolate on Google Maps, so I went there. When I entered the shop, I could smell the delicious aroma of chocolate . I had a gâteau chocolate and a coffee.
ノルウェー名物シカのお肉 Norwegian speciality: deer meat
旅行するときの１番の楽しみって、やっぱりおいしいものを食べることですよね???私は旅行中、食べてるか散歩してるか次の旅行のことについて考えています。
The best thing about travelling is eating good food, isn’t it?When I am travelling, I am either eating, walking or thinking about my next trip.

オーケストラ鑑賞Orchestral appreciation🎷🎻🎺🥁
お腹を満たしてから、オーケストラ鑑賞へ。実は、2023年の夏にオーストリアへ行ったときに時期的に大きなホールでオーケストラ鑑賞できなかったので、ノルウェーでリベンジ。
After filling my stomachs, I went to watch the orchestra. Actually, when I went to Austria in the summer of 2023, I was not able to see the orchestra in a large hall due to the time of year, so I took my revenge in Norway.
ラストは誰もが聞いたことがあるエルガーの曲で、観客全員が手拍子をしながら聴いていて、とても楽しかったです。
The last song was an Elgar that everyone had heard before, and the whole audience was clapping along to it.

そして、次の日に無事飛行機に乗って家に帰りました。
Next day, I flew home safely.
おまけcolumn
ノルウェー旅行中はずっとビートルズの「ノルウェーの森」をリピートして聴いていました。村上春樹さんの「ノルウェイの森」という作品を思い出します。
I listened to the Beatles’ “Norwegian Wood” throughout my trip to Norway. It reminds me of Haruki Murakami’s work “Norwegian Wood”.
出発前に職場の方と忘年会もちゃんとしました．みんなで材料を持ち込んで，餃子．私と同い年の方が餃子の皮とニラを買ってきてくれました．日本のスーパーではどこでも売っていますが，イギリスのスーパーではなかなか売られていないので，本当に感謝です．
I had a proper year-end party with the people at work before I left. We all brought our own ingredients and made dumplings. A person of the same age as me bought gyoza skins and chives. They are sold everywhere in Japanese supermarkets, but not so often in British supermarkets, so I really appreciate it.

I also received Belgian souvenir chocolates.
ありがとーーー！いい人たちに囲まれて幸せでした．Thank you so much! I was so happy to be surrounded by such lovely people.
