Day1

羽田空港Haneda⇒函館空港Hakodate

朝の4:20に家を出て羽田空港へ電車で向かいました🚆前日（楽しみで）なかなか寝付けなかったので睡眠時間は約２時間．移動の電車で眠くなるかと思いきや，全くそんなことがなく読書をしていました．羽田空港はよく晴れていていました．

I left home at 4:20 in the morning and headed to Haneda Airport by train. I couldn’t sleep well the night before, so I only got about two hours of sleep. I thought I would fall asleep on the train, but I didn’t at all and spent the time reading. It was a beautiful sunny day at Haneda Airport.

お昼ご飯・市場 Lunch

函館空港に到着してからすぐにバスで市内まで移動．一旦ホテルに荷物を預けて，さっそく海鮮料理を求めて散歩．下の地図の「はこだて海鮮市場本店」というところでお昼ご飯を頂きました．

Upon arrival at Hakodate Airport, we immediately took a bus to the city centre. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel, we went for a walk in search of seafood cuisine. We had lunch at Hakodate Seafood Market Main Store, shown on the map below.

私はウナギが大好きなので，ウナギ・ホタテ・ビールを注文．

I love eel, so I ordered eel, scallops, and beer.

五稜郭Goryokaku

18年前にも訪れていたのですが，再び五稜郭へ．昨年公開された映画，劇場版名探偵コナン「100万ドルの五稜星」の舞台となっており，もう一度あの景色を見てみたいなと思ったから．

I had visited 18 years ago, but I went back to Goryokaku again. It was the setting for the movie Detective Conan, “The 100 Million Dollar Goryokaku”, which was released last year, and I wanted to watch those sights again.

展望台に登ってみると、五稜郭やほかの要塞について歴史が掲載されてありとても勉強になりました．デンマークで見たクロウンボ城もあり驚きました．

When I climbed up to the observation deck, I found information about the history of Goryōkaku and other fortresses, which was very informative. I was also surprised to see Kronborg Castle, which I had seen in Denmark.

五稜郭について豆知識Trivia about Goryokaku

モデルは中世ヨーロッパの「稜堡（りょうほ）式城郭」．蘭学者の武田斐三郎が函館に入港したフランス軍艦の軍人が送った西洋式築城術の書籍を参考に設計されたようです．

The model is based on the medieval European ‘star-shaped castle.’ It was designed by Takeda Ayasaburo, a scholar of Dutch studies, based on a book on Western-style castle construction sent by French military personnel who arrived in Hakodate on a warship.

星形にしているのは，敵が入り口から侵入したときに死角がないためすぐに対応できる．また，十字砲火が可能であるため．

The star shape was chosen so that there would be no blind spots when enemies invaded through the entrance, allowing for immediate response. It also allows for crossfire.

回転ずしsushi「旬花」

五稜郭のすぐ近くにある「旬花」という回転寿司屋さんも有名らしく，立ち寄ってみました．最初はそんなに食べるつもりはなかったのですが，あまりにも美味しくて結局たくさん食べてしまいました(笑)

There is a famous conveyor belt sushi restaurant called “Shunka” near Goryokaku, so We decided to stop by. At first, I didn’t plan on eating that much, but it was so delicious that I ended up eating a lot.

ウニを美味しいと思ったことはなかったのですが，北海道のウニは臭みが全くなく，トロトロで本当に美味しかったです．お酒を注文せずにはいられなかったです✨

I had never thought sea urchin was delicious before, but the sea urchin from Hokkaido had no fishy smell and was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. I couldn’t help but order some alcohol.

函館山夜景Night view from Mt. Hakodate

9時くらいにロープウェイを使って山頂に到着しました．平日だったからかそこまで混みあっていることもなく，おおよそ１時間ほど函館の夜景にうっとり眺めていました．

I arrived at the summit via ropeway at around 9 o’clock. Perhaps because it was a weekday, it wasn’t too crowded, and I spent about an hour admiring the night view of Hakodate.

ちなみにロープウェイは往復で1800円．片道もあり，帰りはタクシーで帰られる方もいらっしゃいました．さすが日本三大夜景のうちの１つ．また少し大人になったら見に来たいと思います．

Incidentally, the ropeway costs 1,800 yen for a round trip. One-way tickets are also available, and some people took a taxi back. As expected of one of Japan’s three most spectacular night views, I would like to come back and see it again when I’m a little older.

Day2

朝ご飯と移動

朝はゆっくりと９時に起きて，そこからシャワーを浴びて朝食会場へ．

I woke up slowly at 9 a.m., took a shower, and went to the breakfast venue.

一緒に旅行した友達が，「ここのホテルの朝食が美味しんだよ??😍」というので，こちらに泊まってみました．部屋から海も見れて朝食のビュッフェも素晴らしかったです．朝からキラキラで大きいイクラを飲みました．いつも朝食を食べないので少し気持ち悪くなりましたが…(笑)

My friend who travelled with me said, “The breakfast at this hotel is delicious! 😍” so I decided to stay here. I could see the sea from my room, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. I drank sparkling, large salmon roe from the morning. I don’t usually eat breakfast, so I felt a little sick.

そして，函館から札幌まで約４時間かけて新幹線，北斗９号で移動．座席がとても広くて快適でした🚅Then, we travelled from Hakodate to Sapporo in about four hours on “the Hokuto 9 Shinkansen”. The seats were very spacious and comfortable.

札幌駅に到着してから宿泊するホテルへ．After arriving at Sapporo Station, I headed to my hotel.

さすがに移動で疲れてしまったのでホテルのラウンジで休憩．17時までコーヒーとソフトクリームが無料だったので，いただきながら一息つきました．

I was exhausted from travelling, so I took a break in the hotel lounge. Coffee and soft serve ice cream were free until 5 p.m., so I enjoyed them while taking a breather.

４日目の予定を立てていなかったので，近くのジュンク堂へ行って、ガイドブックで観光名所を調べました．

I hadn’t made any plans for the fourth day, so I looked up tourist attractions in a Junkudo guidebook.

ビアガーデンbeer garden

札幌駅周辺を歩いているとたまたまビアガーデンを発見♡

ビール飲み比べを注文．それからおつまみに，「ザンギ」と「豚キムチメンチカツ」を注文して食べました♪　ビールによく合う味でとても美味しかったです．

While walking around Sapporo Station, We happened to discover a beer garden♡

I ordered a beer tasting set. Then, for snacks, I ordered ‘Zangi’ which is meat like mini fried chicken and ‘Pork Kimchi Menchi Katsu’♪ They went well with beer and were very delicious.

Day3

レンタカーを借りて海沿いをドライブRent a car and drive along the coast

日本レンタカーで車を借りてドライブをしました♪よく晴れていたので，海が地平線まで見えてよく見えました✌️🫢

We rented a car from Nippon Rental Car and went for a drive♪ It was a clear day, so I could see the sea stretching all the way to the horizon.

The car I rented was a 「Mitsubishi Delica D2.」

とっても乗り心地が良かったです‼

The ride was very comfortable!

ウニを食べに行くGoing to eat sea urchin

一緒に行った相棒が，「どうしてもここのウニが食べたい‼」と言っていたので，車で行ってきました🍴

My friend who came with me said, “I really want to eat the sea urchin this restaurant!” so we drove there. 🍴

私はこちらで，つぶ貝とアワビの踊り焼きを注文．アワビが生きている状態で運ばれてきてびっくりしました．

I ordered grilled mussel and abalone here. I was surprised to see that the abalone was still alive when it was delivered.

お食事処から近いところに海を見渡せる展望台もあったので，そこにも行ってみました．

There was also an observation deck overlooking the sea near the restaurant, so we went there too.

小樽のビアホールOtaru Beer Hall

小樽に行くのは初めて．小樽運河を歩く前に，マップで見つけたビアホールへ．This was my first time visiting Otaru. Before walking along the Otaru Canal, we went to a beer hall we found on the map.

※飲酒運転はしていません。相棒はジュースです。

私たちは，ビールとカニのキッシュとソーセージの盛り合わせを注文．このキッシュが本当に美味しくてびっくり．カニがそのままキッシュに入っていて，身がほろほろで，キッシュの生地が邪魔にならないくらいの厚さになっていました．We ordered beer, crab quiche, and a sausage platter. The quiche was so delicious that I was surprised. The crab was placed whole in the quiche, and the flesh was flaky, with the quiche crust being just thick enough not to interfere with the taste.

小樽へ行ったらぜひ。本当におすすめのパブです。If you go to Otaru, you should definitely check it out. It’s a really cool pub.

すっかりほろ酔いになった後に，小樽運河沿いをお散歩．暑かったけど，景色がきれいでいい運動になりました．

After getting a bit tipsy, I took a walk along the Otaru Canal. It was hot, but the scenery was beautiful and it was good exercise.

ルタオのソフトクリームLeTAO soft serve ice cream

知らなかったのですが，小樽で有名なスイーツ屋さん「ルタオ」でチーズケーキが乗っているソフトクリームを休憩にいただきました．チーズケーキが濃厚・トロトロで美味しかったです👍✨

I didn’t know this, but I had soft serve ice cream topped with cheesecake at Rutao, a famous dessert shop in Otaru, during my break. The cheesecake was rich and creamy and delicious.

AOAO水族館・時計台　Aquarium and Clock Tower

小樽から札幌駅まで戻ると時間はもう夜．これからどうしようか，と思っているとホテル近くに水族館を発見🐟

By the time we returned to Sapporo Station from Otaru, it was already nighttime. As we were wondering what to do next, we discovered an aquarium near our hotel.

水族館へ向かう途中にちょうど時計台があったので，記念撮影をしてきました．

On the way to the aquarium, we passed by the clock tower, so we took a commemorative photo there.

閉館間際夜の９時に駆け込んで見学しました♪私も相棒も水族館が大好き．こちらの水族館はペンギンを見ながらお酒を楽しめます✨ということで，私たちもカフェで注文してペンギンを見ながらまったりと時間を過ごしました🐧

We rushed in at 9 p.m., just before closing time, to take a look around. Both my friend and I love aquariums. At this aquarium, you can enjoy a drink while watching the penguins. So we ordered at the café and spent a relaxing time watching the penguins.

館内はとてもロマンチックな雰囲気でデートスポットには最適だと思います‼

他の展示もよかったです．

The museum has a very romantic atmosphere, making it the perfect date spot!

The other exhibits were also very good.

Day4

ワインとチーズWine and Cheese

ついに北海道最終日‼　私は9時に起きたのですが，相棒は朝早くから起きて市場へ行って実家に海鮮を郵送していました．

Finally, our last day in Hokkaido! I woke up at 9 a.m., but my friend had gotten up early and gone to the market to send seafood to his parents’ house.

シャワーを浴びてゆっくりしていると相棒が帰ってきて，「行きたいチーズのお店があるの」と言っていたので，一緒についていきました．

I was taking a shower and relaxing when my friend came back and said, “There’s a cheese shop I want to go to”, so I went with her.

好きな食べ物はたくさんあるのですが，その中の１つが「カプレーゼ」．イタリアンレストランでは必ず注文したい．

I have many favourite foods, but one of them is caprese. I always order it at Italian restaurants.

北海道で収穫された季節のフルーツと生ハムと一緒に口に運ぶと，最高でした．生ハムのしょっぱさと，フルーツの甘さ，それを包むブラッターチーズがたまらない．調子に乗って，白ワインと赤ワイン２杯，12時前からいただきました．

The combination of seasonal fruits harvested in Hokkaido and prosciutto was exquisite. The saltiness of the prosciutto, the sweetness of the fruit, and the burrata cheese that enveloped it all was irresistible. I got carried away and had two glasses of white wine and two glasses of red wine before noon. That’s the pleasure of travelling.

北海道神宮Hokkaido Jingu Shrine

札幌駅周辺の観光地を調べていると，北海道神宮を発見‼

While researching tourist attractions around Sapporo Station, I discovered Hokkaido Jingu Shrine!

いつもは神様なんて信じてないとか言ってるくせに，いざとなったら神頼みする女．いろいろと，神様にお願いをしてきました．

I always says “I don’t believe in God”, but when push comes to shove, I turns to God. I’ve asked God for many things. Please watch over us.

クラーク博士Dr. Clark

６月～８月はちょうどラベンダーが咲く季節．北海道でラベンダー畑といえば富良野が有名ですが，マップを眺めているとあちらこちらにラベンダー畑を発見しました．

June to August is the season when lavender blooms. Furano is famous for its lavender fields in Hokkaido, but looking at the map, I found lavender fields here and there.

クラーク博士がある像がある場所にも小さなラベンダー畑があるということでバスを利用して行ってみました．

I heard that there was a small lavender field near the statue of Dr. Clark, so I took a bus to go there.

札幌ビール工場Sapporo Beer Factory

野球観戦中にビールを飲んでから，ビールのおいしさに気づいてしまい，今ではビールをがぶがぶと飲んでいます．札幌といえば，サッポロビール．

I noticed how delicious beer was while watching baseball, and now I drink it like water. When you think of Sapporo, you think of Sapporo Beer, right?

工場見学行ってみました．ビールの歴史や完成までの工程，ラベルの歴史などが記されており，楽しかったです．

I went on a factory tour. It was fun to learn about the history of beer, the production process, and the history of labels.

残念ながら工場内のパブはかなり混雑していてその場では飲めなかったのですが，雰囲気は楽しめました．近くのパブでちゃんと飲みました。

Unfortunately, the pub inside the factory was quite crowded, so we couldn’t drink there, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. We had a proper drink at the local pub.

新千歳空港でスープカレーSoup curry at New Chitose Airport

北海道へ行く前に，知人に「北海道のスープカレーは人生が変わるよ」と言われたので，それは食べないと!?と思って，特にカレー好きというわけではないのですが，お腹もすいていたので，食べてみました．夏野菜がたくさん使われていて，お肉がほろほろで，何よりスープにコクがあって美味しかったです✨

Before going to Hokkaido, my friend me, “Hokkaido’s soup curry will change your life”, so I thought I had to try it! I’m not particularly fond of curry, but I was hungry, so I gave it a try. It was made with lots of summer vegetables, the meat was tender, and above all, the soup was rich and delicious.
